Hightlights of ‘Hungry for Art’ Event at Vahallan Papers

Group-photo

What a night at Vahallan Papers on Friday, November 1st! It is no surprise here at Vahallan Papers, we have a passion for art and design – and we also a strong desire to become more involved with community projects

So we thought of combining both…For our ‘Hungry for Art’ event, we teamed up with the Food Bank of Lincoln in which we had local artists display their art, and a percentage of the art sales went towards the Food Bank.

Guests also had an opportunity to donate canned goods at the event, and we raffled off an acrylic painting donated by a gracious local artist.

We were excited to see our guests come through the doors –  it was an evening full of music, food, fun, and ART.   Many thanks to all who attended!

We are already talking about making this an annual event.  Stay tuned….

Hand Painted US Flag

You have to love a nation that celebrates its independence every July 4, not with a parade of guns, tanks, and soldiers who file by the White House in a show of strength and muscle, but with family picnics where kids throw Frisbees, the potato salad gets iffy, and the flies die from happiness.  You may think you have overeaten, but it is patriotism.  ~Erma Bombeck
